Pilates

At Habitus, Pilates is approached as a practice of awareness, strength, alignment, and long-term care for the body. Our sessions are designed to support both physical resilience and a deeper connection to movement — whether through the focused intimacy of private work or the shared energy of group practice.

We offer group mat classes, private sessions, and semi-private classes, allowing you to choose a format that best supports your body, experience level, and personal rhythm.

Group Mat Classes

Our group mat classes are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of 10 participants, allowing for a more attentive and considered experience.

Classes weave together strength, mobility, control, breath, and alignment through thoughtfully sequenced movement and the occasional use of small props and accessories. While rooted in the Pilates method, each class is designed to feel dynamic, grounding, and deeply restorative to the body.

The group setting offers collective energy and motivation while still allowing space for individual guidance and refinement.

For those new to Pilates, we recommend beginning with a private session before joining group classes. This creates a strong foundation in the principles of the practice, allows us to better understand your body and specific needs, and supports a safer and more integrated transition into group work.

Private Classes

Our private Pilates sessions offer a highly personalised approach tailored entirely to your individual body, goals, and movement patterns.

Sessions may include reformer work, mat-based exercises, and other apparatus depending on your needs and level of experience. Whether you are recovering from injury, refining technique, building strength, improving mobility, or deepening your practice, private sessions allow for focused attention and customised programming.

These one-on-one sessions create space for a more nuanced understanding of the Pilates method and a deeper connection to the body through intelligent, intentional movement.

Semi-Private / Duet classes

Semi-private sessions are designed for two people wishing to practise together in a more intimate setting.

These sessions combine reformer and mat work with programming adapted to each individual while still creating a shared experience of movement and support. Practising alongside a partner, friend, or family member offers both accountability and connection while strengthening the body in a calm and considered environment.

“Pilates has been a part of my life for 15 years — and couldn’t imagine a well-lived life without it.
It has transformed me, not only physically but mentally, teaching me how to live more intentionally in my body and move with purpose. Pilates is a powerful, functional fitness method that supports all bodies — regardless of age, shape, or size.

My journey began during a time of chronic, debilitating back pain. On a friend’s recommendation, I started private sessions — and what began as a path to recovery became a passion. I learned how to shed unhealthy movement patterns, breathe with intent, and cultivate a deeper mind-body connection. Very quickly, Pilates became more than just exercise — it became a calling. Eight years ago, that calling turned into a career.

As a teacher, I’m deeply passionate about creating a nurturing space where clients feel supported, safe, and seen. My goal is to guide each individual on their own unique Pilates journey, meeting them where they are and helping them move toward their goals with confidence.

With a background in music, I see Pilates as an art form — one that, with consistent practice becomes ritual - strengthening the body and reshapinhhow we think and feel within it. I draw inspiration from a wide spectrum of Pilates styles, from classical to contemporary, always honouring the roots of the method while staying excited for where it’s headed.”
