Yoga
Located in the heart of Cape Town CBD, Habitus offers a thoughtfully curated programme of yoga classes led by experienced teachers dedicated to supporting sustainable, embodied practice.
Our classes range from dynamic Vinyasa flows to slower, restorative offerings, creating space for both challenge and ease. Whether you are new to yoga or have an established practice, we invite you to explore the different approaches offered by our teachers and find the class that resonates with you.
Alongside weekly yoga classes, Habitus hosts workshops, trainings and special events designed to deepen your understanding of movement, breath and practice. These are complemented by a selection of body therapies and treatments that support wellbeing beyond the mat.
We invite you to explore the offerings below and connect directly with each teacher to book a class. In the midst of the city, Habitus is a place where movement becomes practice and practice becomes ritual.
Elaine Seidel
Group Vinyasa | Mondays | 8AM
Elaine's journey with yoga began in 2000. Her first class left her feeling like a five-year-old again — familiar, nourished, and completely at home.
What followed was an extraordinary adventure, revealing the healing, wisdom, and quiet magic of the practice. Over time, yoga became far more than movement; it became a lifelong passion and a way of being.
Elaine's teaching is rooted in sharing the joy, freedom, and support that yoga offers through a deeper connection with the body. She encourages students to explore this relationship with curiosity and compassion, honouring the unique strengths and challenges that each person brings to their practice.
Her approach draws inspiration from the precision and alignment of Iyengar Yoga, the strength and emotional depth of Forrest Yoga, and the anatomical understanding of healthy spinal movement cultivated through Synergy Yoga. These influences come together in a practice that is both grounded and fluid, expressed through the grace and flow of Vinyasa Yoga.
Currently Elaine teaches at various studios in Cape Town.

Elvira Hatzinasiou
Group Vinyasa | Mondays | 8AM
Elvira's path to yoga began over a decade ago — or perhaps, as she likes to say, yoga found her. Since then, it has remained a constant companion and source of inspiration.
Before settling in Cape Town, Elvira spent many years performing internationally as a singer and dancer, working throughout Greece, the United Kingdom, and across the world aboard cruise ships. Her background in movement, music, and performance continues to inform her approach to teaching.
Deeply connected to her Greek heritage and a love of tradition, Elvira's classes weave together breath, movement, and sound, while remaining rooted in the authentic principles of yoga that extend far beyond physical postures alone.
Driven by a passion for ancient wisdom and authentic practice, she completed her yoga teacher training in Rishikesh, India — widely regarded as the birthplace of yoga, where the sacred Ganga River flows through the foothills of the Himalayas. More recently, she completed a Perinatal Yoga certification and continues to deepen her knowledge in this field, supporting women through the transformative stages of pregnancy, birth, and beyond.
Elvira's classes offer a thoughtful blend of tradition, presence, and embodied movement, creating space for students to connect more deeply with themselves through the practice of yoga.

Brittany 'Britty' Ferreira
Group Vinyasa | Mondays | 8AM
Movement has always been Brittany's way home.
With over 720 hours of formal teacher training and countless hours spent exploring movement on and off the mat, her teaching is shaped as much by lived experience as it is by certification. Drawing from Vinyasa Yoga, Yin, Aerial, Hot26, Somatic Meditation, mobility training, running, and strength work, she creates classes that feel both intentional and accessible—meeting students exactly where they are.
Known for her warm presence and thoughtful sequencing, Brittany's classes invite students to move beyond simply "doing yoga" and into a deeper relationship with their bodies. Her approach balances challenge with curiosity, strength with softness, and encourages sustainable movement practices that support everyday life.
Through breath, movement, and mindful awareness, she hopes students leave feeling more connected, grounded, and capable than when they arrived.
When she's not teaching, you'll likely find her exploring Cape Town's mountains, wiggling along the coast, working on her movement practice, or simply enjoying the sunshine and fresh air.
